Perched along the western edge of Lake Austin, this modern residence is shaped by both site and season of life. Designed into a steep slope, the home unfolds across three levels, with daily living spaces gathered on a central floor that opens effortlessly to outdoor dining terraces and the pool beyond. Heavy stone walls anchor the structure to the landscape, while divided-light windows temper the contemporary form with a sense of warmth and familiarity. Inside, architecture and interior gestures move in lockstep, organizing living areas around a central hearth that shifts seamlessly between formal and relaxed. Clerestory glazing draws the surrounding oak canopy deep into the home, while private rooms above settle into quiet perches overlooking water and trees. Composed yet comfortable, the house balances material richness with livability, supporting daily rituals with clarity, ease, and a grounded connection to its setting.
