Rooted in tradition yet shaped for modern family life, this University Park residence blends warmth, refinement, and quiet ceremony. Drawing from French Provincial precedent, stucco forms, tiled rooflines, and sculptural arches are distilled into a contemporary expression that feels gracious and lived-in. Inside, thick walls and splayed openings create a rhythm of defined rooms connected by light-filled transitions, balancing openness with intimacy. The plan supports the energetic flow of a household with children while preserving moments of pause, from a ceremonial entry anchored by a sculptural stair to gathering spaces designed to bring family and guests together. Natural materials and patinated finishes lend a sense of humility and permanence, while private retreats above offer calm outlooks into the surrounding tree canopy.
